A associa\u00e7\u00e3o procura fomentar pr\u00e1ticas de educa\u00e7\u00e3o e investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre Engenharia a Dist\u00e2ncia em universidades, institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino superior e na ind\u00fastria.  Al\u00e9m disso, a IAOE promove a Engenharia a Dist\u00e2ncia como forma de melhorar as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de vida e de trabalho.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">O IAOE incentiva o interc\u00e2mbio de conhecimentos, bem como o interc\u00e2mbio de pessoal e estudantes entre as institui\u00e7\u00f5es cooperantes. O IAOE co-organiza confer\u00eancias anuais que cobrem t\u00f3picos relacionados com a Engenharia a Dist\u00e2ncia (tanto aspectos t\u00e9cnicos como educativos). A REV (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rev-conference.org\/current\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The International Conference on Remote Engineering and Virtual Instrumentation<\/a>) \u00e9 a confer\u00eancia anual do IAOE. O objectivo geral desta confer\u00eancia \u00e9 demonstrar e discutir os fundamentos, aplica\u00e7\u00f5es e experi\u00eancias no campo da engenharia remota e instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o virtual. Com a globaliza\u00e7\u00e3o da educa\u00e7\u00e3o, o interesse e a necessidade de teletrabalho, servi\u00e7os remotos e ambientes de trabalho colaborativo aumenta agora rapidamente. Outro objectivo do simp\u00f3sio \u00e9 discutir orienta\u00e7\u00f5es para a educa\u00e7\u00e3o em cursos de n\u00edvel universit\u00e1rio para estes t\u00f3picos.
